The Illusion

If I were to bang my fist real hard into a tree, it would hurt.
If I were to raise my leg and kick that same tree, it would also hurt.

And yet what is it that Mystics, Spiritual masters speak of?  What have they discovered after deep reflection which claims this tree and everything else in our reality as an illusion? It is not stated metaphorically but asserted as fact albeit at some deeper level.

Scientist agree that at some level this is true. That this powerful experience we call life along with the associated pain incurred when one kicks or slaps a tree confirms the reality of this tree. In fact the throbbing pain asserts your direct relationship with both tree and manifest reality.

So what are we talking about here? What are we experiencing at one level which is different at some other level? What do both scientist and mystics share with this discovery? By deductive reasoning both inquirers arrived at this junction which anchors us into a new belief system which we have to accept at their word. That reality does exist and that it also does not exist.  Or better said, reality exist at various levels. Science with its vast assembly of measuring equipment discovers this idea with the eye of reasoning. The Mystic through introspection discovers the illusion with the eye of spirit. Both methods are equally acceptable depending on what camp you are standing from and how much you have invested on this belief.

What are we to make of this astounding discovery? Make no mistake that this is a seriously tested and confirmed revelation. A mystery subjected to the light of scrutiny and has passed verification. Like all truths they are partial and limited to the faculties of the subjective and objective reasoning of the observer.

Reality as we know it has its counterpart along with all known dualities. The Real and the Non-Real seat comfortably together in entanglement. Our awareness focuses on one component and makes the other you could say disappear. Existence along with Non-Existence are dual halves of a Dynamic Process with no centre that we can define with words.  Quantum Physics confirms that existence blinks in and out. That it is not a linear constant. Reality blinks, In and Out, In and Out, Off and On. All making appointments with location. And yet no centre. Not one that we can speak of.

Our reasoning will attempt to give what is hidden existence by giving it location. Or in attempt to reconcile duality we measure by varying degrees. There will be a tendency to find an arbitrary in between or centre. Such as, I am nearly in or I am nearly out. It is nearly off or nearly on. But it is something you cannot contain, intellectualize, something you cannot name, you cannot grasp, hold .There is no centre to speak off. There is an I trying, looking and pointing because it is part of the subjective and objective dance.

So what should one do to arrive at this invisible destination. This next stop at the world of no stopping.  To end all searching.

The next stop is to Stop, Just stop. You’re already there.
